As the special ties of friendship between the people of Newport and Kutaisi grow ever stronger, we share your pride in your ancient, brave and beautiful city; and assure you that here in Wales we will be thinking of you and wishing you well on the day.

May I add that all the Members of the Newport Kutaisi Twinning Association look forward to welcoming you in Newport later this year when we will celebrate the opening of Kutaisi Walk in the centre of our city as part of our own 2010 Newport Festival.
